Description

Thompson Motorsports 416ci Gen IV LS forged short block, professionally built to handle 20–25 PSI of boost in high-horsepower street or race applications. This engine is based on an LS3 aluminum block and features premium internal components including a Callies forged crankshaft, K1 forged connecting rods, Carrillo forged pistons, King performance bearings, ARP main studs, and a custom Cam Motion blower camshaft. This proven combination previously produced 1,153 wheel horsepower, making it an outstanding foundation for a serious turbocharged or supercharged LS build. The engine currently has low compression on cylinder #8 and will require a new set of pistons or piston rings before being put back into service. Compression tested at 170 PSI on cylinders 1–7 and 85 PSI on cylinder #8. The short block includes the installed studs but does not include the oil pump or front cover. Condition: Used. Engine requires repair before installation. Previously produced 1,153 WHP prior to the compression issue.
